DAUNTLESS
GOLDENBUFFALOPUBLICATION.COM
The Dictionary defines the word “Dauntless” as meaning Fearless.
I have ascribed the word to the following seven individuals of historic stature:
1.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
2.   Fredrick Douglass
3.   Shirley Anita Chisholm
4.   Reverend Jesse Jackson
5  Former United States Ambassador Alan Keyes (Who is not pictured on the verse
but is acknowledged in the Black History Legend.
6.
Reverend Albert Sharpton, and
7.
Barack Obama.
Each of these individuals have earned their place on the verse by virtue of their courage.
On November 4th, 2008, Senator Barack Obama achieved what many
thought was Impossible. He was elected the 44th President of the United
States, fulfilling a part of Dr. King's Dream and the dream of many others.  He was
judged by his fellow Americans on the content of his character and not the color of
his skin.  On January 20th, the Dream will be fulfilled.
This verse “A Dream Fulfilled-Dauntless” is dedicated to those seven brave
souls who dared to try and make a difference in the lives of many.
Dr. King gave his life in
pursuit of political/social and
economic justice for all.
He had a dream, that one day
all people would be judged by
the content of their
character and not the color of
their skin.
Fredrick Douglass is
considered by many to be the
Father of the Civil Rights
Movement. During the Civil
War, he was the primary Black
Advocate calling for
the end to slavery.
Shirley Chisholm, Reverend
Jesse Jackson, former
Ambassador Alan Keyes
and the Reverend Albert
Sharpton, they all attempted to
achieve
what was thought by many to
be the “Impossible Dream” for a
Black person in
America. They all sought the
nomination for the Office of
President of the United
States.
