We welcome you to this introduction web page for Golden Buffalo Publication.
Golden Buffalo Publication was formed in 1987 by Charles Blatcher, III. The Company was formed with the
expressed goal of presenting the writings of Charles Blatcher, III, author, poet and founder of the National
Minority Military Museum Foundation.   Over the years, Charles has compiled a series of writings dealing with
topics as diverse as Black History, Faith, Respect, Determination and Love. The topics have been addressed in
calendars and in publication form. His latest release is a Poetry Poster Series titled “Reflection.” The Poetry is
presented in a ten piece series of 11 x 17'' Color Poetry Posters. The collection will be introduced as individual
pieces and displayed on this web site. Produced in a high quality gloss finish, the Posters are ideal for those
seeking artwork with a poetic message. They are suitable for framing. The educational and inspirational tone of
the writings make them ideal to be passed down to future generations as a reminder of history and the virtues of
life in general.

The name Golden Buffalo is derived from the legend of the famed Buffalo Soldiers, men of the famed 9th and
10th Cavalries of the United States Army Colored Troops from the post era of the Civil War. The name was given
to the Troops by our Native American brothers and sisters. The two groups often found themselves at odds with
the principles of American expansionism. Through conflict and hardship a bond of respect was established
between the Black Soldiers and Native population. The name Buffalo Soldiers was given to them in
acknowledgment of their courage in battle and because of the similarity of their skin color and hair to that of the
Buffalo's mane. The name Golden Buffalo acknowledges the legacy and valor of the men
who served in the famed 9th and 10th Cavalries.

proceeds will also assist Charles as he continues to acknowledge the contributions of the millions of Black and
other minority Americans who have served in the defense of the nation. I encourage those interested in more
